The children of E-Bridge Preschool - Matilda officially launched our Start Small Dream Big Project: Saving the seas in the world of Covid-19 on the 22nd of April, Earth Day. Prior to the launch, the K1 children used recycled materials to create a poster to kick-off the project.
On the day of launch, a short video about water pollution and how disposable masks have added to this problem, and some washed in the shores were shown to the children. They were also engaged in a community clean-up. Children walked around the school community and used tongs to pick up rubbish. They realised how much plastic that wasn’t disposed of properly. The K2 children also created a wall of potted plants made of recycled materials.
We at E-Bridge Preschool - Matilda pledge to use less plastic and to implement the 3Rs - reduce, reuse, recycle.
