On 22nd June 2018, in celebration of Father’s Day, we organized a workshop where children and their fathers participated to create handmade crafts using recyclable materials the families had collected and contributed earlier.
The event started off with the children excitedly welcoming their fathers into their classrooms. Teachers gave a briefing on the steps to create the crafts. Next, the children and their fathers collaborated to upcycle the materials into a usable and meaningful craft to celebrate Father’s Day.
The event ended with a charity bazaar where parents donated food items in exchange for the crafts. The food items will be collected and sent by our very own CGH staff, teachers and children to ‘All Saints Nursing Home’ to help in their programme for the elderly in our community.
