The Recycling Process
To kick off with our recycling project, blooboxes were distributed to the children to be used to collect recyclables.
Children created posters and posted outside the centre to increase awareness about recycling.
Friday is collection day. Children from Playgroup to K2 class contributed recyclables from home. They sorted the recyclables accordingly at our recycling station. Look at the excitement on their faces!
They also helped in sorting the plastics according to four categories: (1) PET, (2) HDPE, (3) LDPE and (5) PP.
Staffs from Sembcorp collected the first batch of recyclables.

Yehey! Our centre, PCF Sparkletots @ JK518, ranked 3rd in the SembEnviro School Recycling League leadeboard as of June 2024.
Thank you for doing your part. Recycling not only helps to reduce waste but it also conserves natural resources. Let’s give applaus to all PCF @ JK518 children, our young RECYCLING HEROES.
