After many productive and wonderful weeks of exploring our SSDB 3Rs—Let’s Save Our World project, we have come to the end of our SSDB journey for this year!
The children summarized this project by working on recyclable tote bags; painting flowers, leaves and designs of nature and then sprucing up their bags using other recyclable items such as bottle caps, aluminium foils, recycled buttons and sequins as well! It was indeed an awesome way of not just re-instilling their knowledge of the importance of the 3Rs, but they also got to work on their creativity skills! The best part is, these beautiful recyclable tote bags are put on sale for our school’s fundraising project— The money raised will be donated to our chosen foundation which is the Singapore Children’s Society.
Through our project, we hope that our children have learned to appreciate and realize the beauty and importance of our Planet Earth and how we all have an important part to play in keeping our world clean and healthy.
We also hope that this project would inspire our children and their families to continue the awareness of the 3Rs in their daily lives as well.
