In this year’s SSDB project, “We Heartly Connect” represents a time for Little Atlas’s children and families to embrace each other. Fast-forward 2 years later since COVID-19 first hit, there have been lesser opportunities for families to reunite and bond. As regulations are easing up, Little Atlas Preschool aims to rebuild our family connections through meaningful activities.
To kickstart, Little Atlas had a blast during our first ever Kite Festival at East Coast Park. Many of us had no prior experience in Kite flying, but that didn’t stop us from trying! Parents and children worked together and with their determination, managed to put their kites into the sky.
After our exhilarating experience at kite flying, we had a picnic by the beach to fill our hungry tummies. We decorated mini kites with different colours at the same time. With the help of our parents, the children drew their favourite things on the kite!
With our satisfied tummy, the Little Innovators were eager to expel their energy. We played games such as Shrinking Island. Each parent and child were given a newspaper as the island to stand on. As the island shrank, they had to be creative to remain standing on the island without falling out!
It was heart-warming to see our Little Innovators and their parents make merry memories during our eventful day. We look forward to more exciting activities in the coming months!
