On 19 June 2020, our children were encouraged to come in orange attire to launch our ‘Start Small, Dream Big’ project. The theme of our this year SSDB project is ‘Reaching Out’ and it aims to instil the values of kindness, gratitude and appreciation in our children.
During the launch, our teachers introduced our centre’s Y2020 SSDB project through a powerpoint presentation and SSDB videos. Thereafter, our children were encouraged to brainstorm ways on caring for the environment, showing kindness and appreciation and also what we can do in building a more compassionate society. Children’s responses were captured on video by teachers and shared with parents. The K1 and K2 children also wrote on the pledge cards and displayed them in their classes.
To show and say ‘thank you’ to our little lovely children in participating in the launch, the centre gave each and every child a heart balloon to bring home, representing our determined effort in doing our parts in caring for the environment.
