Ranger Buddies Fight Deforestation Live Virtual Show

In March, the children were pleased to be a part of the ‘Ranger Buddies Fight Deforestation Live Virtual Show’ organised by Mandai Wildlife Reserve.

‘Look! We are helping to dig the hole and then we put the seed inside! Okay, now we need to water it! Yay, the seed is growing!’

When the show started, the children were introduced to a few animals in the forest such as the orangutan, howler monkey and elephant. They were excited and pointed to the animals when they spot it. The children were actively engaged during the interactions and helped to ‘fight’ deforestation when questions were asked. For instance, they planted the seed and sung the song together to help it grow!

‘I like the show, its very fun! We cannot cut down the trees if not the animals will have no home!’

To conclude the virtual show, the children brought their own snacks and we had a picnic together with the rangers! Additionally, we recapped the impact of deforestation on our wildlife, and the children were encouraged to share how they could help conserve wildlife as Ranger Buddies! 👩🏼‍🌾🦧🐘🦭💚
