Small Wonder @ Nee Soon marked the beginning of our inaugural SSDB project on Racial Harmony Day, which fell on Friday, 19 July 2024. With a theme fittingly titled “Doing Good Together: Celebrating 10 Years of Start Small Dream Big!”, we are thrilled to embark on this new initiative by gathering together parent volunteers. The objective of this project is to foster a deeper understanding of the diverse cultures that shape Singapore. 🎉✨
🤝 Joining Forces with Parents: One of the key components of this project is the involvement of parent volunteers. Volunteering is crucial as it allows parents to actively participate in their children’s education and development. By sharing their cultural experiences, parent volunteers enrich the learning environment, strengthen family bonds, and foster a sense of community. Their involvement demonstrates the powerful impact of coming together for a common cause.
🌍 Exploring the Diverse Cultures of Singapore: Through this project, we want to help our students appreciate the many cultures that make up Singapore. By taking part in different games and activities, children will learn more about the traditions, customs, and values of various cultures. This will help them develop empathy, respect, and appreciation for others, creating a more inclusive learning environment.
🌈 Ending Note: We are excited to embark on this journey of understanding and celebrating diversity through our inaugural SSDB project on Racial Harmony Day. We believe that by coming together, we can create a school environment where every child feels valued and respected for who they are. Let’s embark on this educational journey together, as we celebrate the diverse cultures that shape Singapore and create a brighter future for all!
