During the last week of the June Holidays, our children participated in a variety of activities designed to promote positive emotional well-being. They were educated about the different emotions they might experience in various situations, providing them with the tools to understand and manage their feelings effectively.
To enhance their understanding, we watched the movie “Inside Out.” This film captured the children’s attention and helped them visualize the causes behind their emotions in an engaging and relatable way.
In addition to the movie, we engaged the children in role-playing activities. These educational experiences were highly effective in helping children navigate their emotions, engage in perspective-taking, and identify solutions to resolve problems. The hands-on nature of these activities provided the children with real, physical experiences, allowing them to develop a concrete understanding of how to apply these strategies in resolving conflicts. This is crucial for building their independence, self-help skills, and confidence when conflicts arise.
As we continue to cherish and celebrate the precious moments we share as part of the “Families for Life” theme, it is essential to also focus on our mental well-being. A strong and healthy family begins with each member’s well-being, including mental health.
Furthermore, the children enjoyed a picnic experience as part of their outdoor time. This outing was helpful in building positivity, allowing the children to relax, bond with nature, and strengthen their friendships with peers in a joyful and informal setting.
Overall, these activities not only supported emotional growth but also fostered a sense of community and well-being among the children.
