June Builders (3rd June to 7th June 2024)
Understanding the definition of sustainbility is “Saving the World”, the children reinforced their knowledge of sustainability through a guessing game.
They shared with each other their related experiences with water and saving water. These included their learning corner activity of ‘saving the sea creatures’. With prompts, the children creatively thought of various ways they could do in order to take care of water, especially water used in our school.
Some of their ideas were:
“We can turn off the tap when we are not washing our hands!”
“I will finish my water in my bottle.”
In conclusion, the children were able to form a better appreciation for water and gained awareness of the various water usage in their environment. This knowledge has helped them to progress into the next phase of experimenting.
