After the children packed their mask extenders in the SSDB care packs, they brought it with them to give out to any essential workers they meet along the way home or to school. The children identified different essential workers and their respective jobs. They also shared the aim of our project to them.
In school, the children were invited to show the pictures they have taken with the essential workers and shared their experience in class. Their friends get to ask them questions and sum up their learning.
Our project has successfully reached out to different categories of essential workers during this pandemic namely, community cleaners, maintenance personnel, bus drivers, SMRT Staff, construction worker, coffe shop uncles and aunties, grab drivers, police officer and even a doctor. All of this contribution was possible with the children’s dedication & active participation towards the goal of the project along side with their parent’s unwavering support as always.
