We had an amazing SSDB launch party on 1st July 2022! SSDB’s theme for this year is “Our Family, Our Community” We wanted our children to learn more about kindness and show empathy towards people who are less fortunate in our community.
In line with President’s Challenge 2022 theme “Supporting Lower-Income Families”, we decided to raise funds for President’s challenge! We are going to create new things out of recycled paper, sell it and donate the money to people who are less fortunate.
As we are using recycled paper, we also want to teach children about the importance of using paper wisely and how to recycle & reuse it to create new things! 🌳
We started the party with a short role play about SSDB, acted out by the Teachers and our Centre Principal! We wanted children to understand the meaning of SSDB’s slogan “No one can do everything, but everyone can do something.”
The Teachers then went on to share more about SSDB & what is President’s Challenge about.
Our Mother Tongue Teachers also shared about kindness in their Mother tongue language!
We conducted activities for children to understand better about kindness and embracing diversity in our community.
Check out what is in the goodie bags! Our children were so excited to receive them!
The children and teachers had a wonderful time during the launch. We are off to a good start! 🤩
