To conclude the K1’s SSDB project this year, they were invited to write a pledge on how they will continue to care for the environment. As part of this experience, they were encouraged to add illustrations to their pledges to make it more meaningful. The children wrote about recycling, minimizing food wastage, saving water and electricity, and planting trees and flowers among others. This exhibits their growing understanding and deeper concern for the environment.
When they had completed their works, they were invited to a Show and Tell session to share their pledges with the class. This SSDB project was indeed a meaningful journey for both children and teachers! 🙂
