On the 29th July 2023, it was a day filled with events for both parents and children! It started off with MTL workshop (N2-K2) where the MTL teachers conducted child reading workshop to facilitate the parents on how they can teach reading skills to their children. The teachers shared their experience and techniques that they used in school.
After the MTL workshop, the parents and children were ushered to the respective bays for the parents appreciation day where it was catered for all levels (IF-K2). Through this event, it encourages families to spend time together, strengthening their bonds through communication, shared experiences, and expressions of love. The activities conducted - Leaf bowl diffused with essential oil (IF-N1) and Terrocota - Essential Oil Diffuser (N2-K2).
They enjoyed doing the activities together.
After the hands on activities, the parents were shown a heartwarming surprise video by the children to show their appreciation and love for them. The parents felt touched by the surprise video.
And the children danced to the kindness song to show their parents their appreciation.
In addition and in conjunction with Kindness Movement, we decided to encourage the parents and children to write their superpower to show or bring kindness or help the people around them with the given circle template. They will then paste it on the superpower kindness shield (wall appreciation) outside one of the bay’s wall.
The event was successful and enjoyable for everyone.
