Skool4Kidz at Sengkang Riverside celebrated Mid Autumn Festival on 17 September 2024. We aim to instill an appreciation for cultural traditions among our children. The Mid-Autumn Festival, being one of the most significant traditional festivals in Chinese culture, provides an opportunity for teachers to to educate the children about cultural history, customs, and values.
We incorporated arts and crafts, like making lanterns or mooncakes during the celebration, enhancing creativity and providing hands-on learning experiences to the children.
Our children were encouraged to dress up with their Chinese traditional clothes or wear pink!
The festival is traditionally all about reunion and spending time with loved ones, hence, our school use this opportunity to build a sense of togetherness among children and teachers.
Above are our children enjoying their music and movement activity with peers.
Respecting diversity ensures that cultural celebrations like Mid Autumn Festival are meaningful and welcoming to all.
