As part of our SSDB project, our children were involved in an inquiry-based curriculum whereby they learnt about the importance of protecting the endangered sea animals. In collaboration with Nparks Biodiversity Week, children were provided with insights on the endangered species, Dugong, and learnt more about Singapore’s seagrass and marine life.
To reinforce children’s learning experiences, parents were invited to join the children for a beach cleaning to inculcate the love for the environment. Despite the hot weather that day, everyone played a part in making a difference in the environment by picking up pollutants on the beach. It was also a great bonding time while parents and child participated in this activity!
