The children explored making scented bags, building on their previous lessons about using natural scents instead of perfumes to enhance a space’s aroma.
Together with their parents, the children created natural scent bags using biodegradable materials like pandan leaves and lemongrass, and added flower petals for decoration. They tore and cut the pandan leaves into smaller pieces and placed them in the bags.
This activity promotes waste reduction by using plant materials that can be composted after use. The biodegradable nature of these materials ensures they break down naturally, enriching the soil instead of ending up in a landfill.
