With Making a Difference to the Community as the theme of our entrepreneurship project, the Kinder classes and the N2s embarked on our journey to garner an amount of fund to provide to needy children.
With insights and guidance from the SSDB kit, the children had a brainstorm session on their goals and objectives of their project. In conjunction with the Hari Raya celebration, the children grasp the opportunity to market their product during the festive period.
Following careful planning and lots of support and encouragement from the teachers, the children sets out the process of making their product. Two types of chocolate treats were made with the teacher’s assistance. Proper yet delightful looking packaging were prepared and hygiene standards were ensured. At a smashing Low price of $2 and our cute little sales team, who were propped with orange hats, banner and handbell for their sales calls, the ‘classmade’ chocolate treats were a hit amongst parents, teachers and passerby. Sold out before the school day ends, the funds collected of $161 were contributed to the Jamiyah Children’s Home.
Successful in their first ever entrepreneurship journey, with a happy ending of learning to give back to the community.
