After eating the jellies, children proceeded to the main event which was their dance performance to the song: 数星星. This song conveyed and represented children’s appreciation for the elderly. The elderly enjoyed the performance and moved along with the song by waving their hands.
Finally, we end the visit with the children handed out goodie bags and handmade cards to the elderly. It was a heart warming and pleasant gift giving ceremony.
This collaboration with PCF Yew Tee Sparkle Care has given the K2 children the opportunity to bring the community together and doing their part in creating a caring, loving and respecting community. Their concern, care and kindness to the elderly bring smile to their faces.
The children were quite shy to engage in a conversation with the elderly initially. Through this event, they stepped out from their comfort zone and bonded with the elderly which increased their confident and self-esteem.
It is a wonderful and meaningful experiences for all of us at PCF Sparkletots Preschool @ Limbang Blk 567.
