On 2nd August 2019, the children worked in small groups to man booths to sell the craft and food items which they have prepared themselves. However, instead of accepting money, the parents will be making transactions using coupons, which they will then return in the form of any dry good that is to be donated. Prior to the event, the children have put in a lot of time and effort in making the watercolour posters and cards, pressed flower bookmarks, pencil holders, cereal treat bars, Nutella brownies, salted parmesan popcorn, and chocolate chip cookies within the week. The children did not only have fun, but they also felt accomplished. Many of the parents and family members came down to support the little ones for the ultimate cause - charity and giving back to the community.
The children enjoyed exploring various techniques to create beautiful crafts.
The children also loved home science. They really had a good time cooking and eating, of course.
On the carnival day, the parents from all levels came down to support the K2s. The children were all busy trying to attract the parents over to their respective booths and to sell their items.
Ultimately, the children and the teachers were grateful to have received a tremendous amount of support - all of which, is for a good cause.
