During the brainstorming period, the children were presented with a few options and they eventually voted for ‘zoo’ as the theme for the art showcase. Every child decided on an animal, transportation or a feature in the zoo that they would like to create. The class worked on their art pieces over the span of two months since mid-May. From the selection of the recycled materials to the assemble of the materials and colour choices, every child went through the entire process of creation with facilitation from the teachers. Through this, they were able to express themselves freely and creatively as they explored the art element of creating a three dimensional form from different viewpoints and perspectives.
