The children of PCF Sparkletots @ Marine Parade Blk 46 saw the growth of the onions that they have planted! The green onions are now standing strong after weeks of watering and careful gardening. Despite the stricter measures due to the COVID-19 situation, the children were still able to go to the garden and tend to their plants.
They were also able to produce a fruit enzyme out of the peelings of citrus fruits, particularly oranges. The children followed the instructions for making the enzyme and proceeded to label it accordingly. When they got home, they shared the different benefits of making such enzyme. In three months, they will be able to use the enzyme that they made as a fertilizer, pesticide, or a disinfecting solution.
These activities will not only enrich the children’s experiences but it is also helpful for the environment!
