Teacher Asy contacted a Non-Profit Organisation called Bless the Migrant Workers to distribute all of the donated items to the foreign workers living in factories and shop houses in Sungei Kadut and Little India before sending a note to parents mentioning that she will be collecting dry goods (instant noodles, packet biscuits, packet drinks, instant tea/coffee/milo, 1kg rice and canned food) throughout the week to surprise the foreign workers which will be very useful for them as they battle the uncertainty of the Covid-19 situation. In 5 days, we managed to collect 150 items from parents and children across the levels – Nursery to Kindergarten 2!
After going through newspaper articles about essential workers, and how important foreign workers are in Singapore (our neighbourhood cleaners, the ones who built our home and malls), the children did a little “thank you” card to share how much we appreciate them and our hope to go through this challenging situation together.
The team from the organisation came down to collect the donated items and the cards before passing it to the foreign workers. Their photos were taken – holding the cards and the donated items. As we look through the pictures, it brings us joy to see the smiles on their faces. 
We had a lot of fun taking part in this project! I hope that the children will be able to remember this experience and to continue caring for others, and to be kind to one another always.
