We were treated to a 2016 Innovation Grand Project (IGP) video collage where we saw how our friends embarked on a pretty interesting journey of their project. The ECDA Innovation Projects are initiated to improve the quality of pre-school programmes, teaching-learning practices and to foster a culture of innovation and reflective practices. It encourages children to construct their knowledge and think out of the box. Our teachers took some time reading to us how being kind can be extended to our environment, instead of just the people around us. We learnt that it is critical that we start somewhere. And we decided that it should start from us, the future generation of Singapore!
Looking good guys!
With collaboration from Singapore Kindness Movement, we participated in many activities to understand how we can be better citizens. We make it a point to exchange morning greetings with a smile when we reach school. One thing I really liked, that my teachers emphasize to us is, “No act of kindness, no matter how small is ever wasted.” We share with our families how, if each one of us planted a plant each, can help to reduce global warming and make the world a cooler place.
We really enjoyed the book about how being gracious is the way of life!
Oour awesome teachers get to reinstate the positive values that has shaped us, thus far.
Who’d imagine such a simple game can be so much fun? 😊
