We launched the start of our Start Small Dream Big Project on National Day in school. During this special event, we would like to do our part and give back to the community. We hope to empower children to show respect and gratitude towards the people around them in their community and their environment such as the town council workers and the frontline workers who have been taking great care of the elderly.
The children at My First Skool @ Blk 681A along with their parents have brought in a few necessities such as - Vitamin C pastilles, Small Hand Sanitizer and Wet Tissues. The children from 4 to 6 years old were involved in painting a thank you card for the community. We also tagged on the younger ones together with the 4 to 6 years old to pack the care packs together and to design a mask extender. On top of that, children created the mask extender by sewing on buttons with their parent’s involvement back at home.
Along with the involvement from parents, the children had a meaningful experience in understanding ways to give back to the community for all the help that they have provided for them!
