“All of us are unique.” That’s what the K1 children said when we discussed about Inclusive Education.
This year, our SSDB project focuses on Caring for Our Community-Celebrating Diversity. We have prepared a wide activities to enculcate the values: love, appreciation and respect to others especially those who needed more help.
The children were engrossed in the following activities:
-
Learn the song “True Colours” and talk about the meaning of the song.
-
Raise awareness on Inclusive Education by watching videos on what actually happens in an inclusive classroom.
-
Discuss and learn ways to embrace differences in the class.
-
Create an individual craft and put everyone’s craft to make a big pair of wings; to be installed in our photobooth.
-
Create a picture frame out from rolled magazines.
-
Sell children’s craft (picture frame) to parents.
-
Donate the collected funds to Club Rainbow.
Take a look at the fun and meaningful activities that our K1 children did and enjoyed.
