As part of our SSDB theme ‘A Hero for Everyone,’ our little innovators and parents joined hands to make a positive impact on our environment. Together, they created posters, crafted toys from recycled materials, and donated items via a Red Cross Wooden Donation Box. These activities were not only enjoyable bonding moments for families, but also taught our children to care for our Earth, living creatures, and each other.
Working together, children and parents crafted a beautiful poster to raise awareness about saving the planet. The process of creating and colouring the poster brought joy to both children and parents alike. Some even came up with the designs by themselves to advocate the importance of being kind to our Mother Earth!
Excitement filled the air as children shared their recycled crafts and the stories behind them with their friends. This activity not only allowed them to create with recycled materials but also educated them about the importance of minimizing waste. They learned that reusing items like boxes and bottles can help save resources and reduce waste.
One of the highlights was when children experienced the joy of donating items like clothes, shoes, and pants to the Red Cross Wooden Donation Box. The realization that their donations were making someone else happier and helping those in need brought a sense of fulfillment.
Our little innovators had a blast through this project while learning valuable lessons about environmental care, empathy for living things, and being part of a community. We are grateful for the support of our parents in making this activity a success. Looking ahead, we are excited for more collaborative activities and further partnership with parents!
