Children put on their thinking caps while baking ‘Honey Cornflakes’. They explored the textures of the ingredients by helping the teachers to put the ingredients one by one into the mixing bowl. It teaches the children one of our PCF core value ‘RESPECT’ while waiting for their friends to take turns. Children learnt the sentence “Terima Kasih”, which is “Thank you” in Malay, when their friends helped them during situations that needed help. As we are celebrating the festival ‘Hari Raya’ by introducing such words, it will be very beneficial for the children to learn about different cultures. Adding on to our theme this year for SSWB is “ Our Family, Our Community”, we had a parent volunteer who assisted us to demonstrate to everyone on how to bake “Honey Cornflakes”.
