Giving back to our community is an act of kindness that everyone should embrace. We must take care of our surroundings and appreciate the support our community offers. Every little effort we put in can contribute to making our community a better place to live in.
In this regard, the celebration of Hari Raya, particularly in Singapore, is a symbol of communal solidarity. Despite the fact that diverse races are involved, they learn to accept one another and celebrate it. In harmony with this, we at PCF Sparkletots Marymount Blk 309 support the common goal of joining the community in caring for the elderly.
As part of our Hari Raya Celebration, we invited a parent to demonstrate how to make Ondeh Ondeh, a traditional Malay dessert. The children had a wonderful time making the dessert under the parents’ and teachers’ guidance.
They gave their finished products to the Senior Care staff. Witnessing the genuine joy and gratitude of the staff as they received the dessert from the children filled our hearts with happiness. The children’s surprise gesture of giving Ondeh Ondeh to the Senior Care staff was a way of appreciating their contributions to the community. We should never overlook their efforts in providing support and care for the elderly during challenging times. It is, therefore, essential that we make a conscious effort to recognize their efforts and show our appreciation for the critical role they play in our community.
“Thank you to the incredible staff of PCF Sparkle Care @ Shunfu! We appreciate all that you do for our community. 🌺”
