Our story continues….
After presenting the gifts to Aunty Grace, the children wanted to invite her for their field trip to Gardens by the Bay. They wanted to extend their love for her by giving her a special treat .
Together with their teachers, the children brainstormed and came out with many ideas. The four classes decided to make her trip an enjoyable one .
The following were the children’s plans for Aunty Grace on her day out.
- Two children introduced the names of flower in mandarin to Aunty Grace at the Flower Dome.
- Another group of children held Aunty Grace’s hands when she went for the tree top walk.
- Children from another K2 class, brought Aunty Grace to the souvenir shop to buy a memento for this outing.
- One of the groups also took care of Aunty Grace by buying her food and drinks.
**Reflection...**
Reflection
The children were very happy that Aunty Grace went with them to Gardens by the Bay. They have learnt how to interact with her in mandarin, looking after her like their own grandmother. This whole process of caring for those in need has definitely reinforced our core values of loving, sharing and caring. The children were glad that they can honour Aunty Grace because she has worked hard to make a living.
