Ms. Jessie from FoodBank came down to our centre to discuss and share to the children on why saving food is very much important. The topic of her discussion focuses on teaching children to save food and as much as possible not to waste food as there are lots of people who are not as fortunate as they are, who can buy and eat everything that they want.
She also talked about their organization, Foodbank, and let the children understand that the food they will be donating will be given to those less fortunate families.
We held a food donation drive and managed to collect varieties of goods such as coffee, noodles, pasta, canned goods, packet drinks, and biscuits.
The children were also delighted to donate and they were able to tell that donating is also one way of saving food.
We would like to thank the children and their parents for their generosity and for helping us make our food donation drive a success!
