ECO-Friendly Crafts For Frontliners

Year 2020 has indirectly taught us a very important lesson on the harmful impact of Coronavirus (Covid-19) on our health. We believe that in order to curb the spread of the virus, all parties should play their proactive roles. Hence we strive to raise awareness amongst our stakeholders- the pupils and their parents. We engage them through various platforms.

We started off with our K2 Project for our heroic frontliners. From Art and Craft, to Discovery of the World to Current Affairs as well as Language and Literacy lessons, we touched on numerous aspects of stamping out Covid- 19.

The K2 classes had also decided to create a craft to show support for our frontline Doctors and Nurses. Our K2 parents began contributing remnant cloths as part of this project. The children designed the cloths with motivational messages and drawings for the Doctors and Nurses. Upon completion, our support staff assisted in sewing the cloths together to create cushion covers.

In addition, we created a special video which is a compilation of heartfelt dedications from our children and parents of PCF Sparkletots Preschool @ Punggol North BLK 174D. On 21 July 2020, the K2 teachers handed over our token of appreciation to the doctors at a local hospital.

With the above project, we hope that we have instilled a sense of appreciation for others, in the hearts of our young ones.
