The children got an opportunity to harvest fruits and vegetables from our school garden. Through the process that they children went through, they understood how tough it is to get food on their table. During their reflections in class, the children talked about how hot the weather was and how tough it is to maintain the garden. They also had to wait for the fruits to grow and that took quite a while. With that, the children showed more appreciation towards the food that they have. During lunch, they got reminded of their journey and could point out that they are eating vegetables instead of just throwing it like they used to.
