Children were tasked to investigate and find out more about a chili plant before they grow it from scratch. They went home and worked with their parents to collect information on plants and gardening. Then, they shared their findings in school and created a mind map to pen down their findings. After which, children created their own rules and responsibilities chart. As curious learners, they showed interest in the environment, gardening and thought about how they could show their love and concern for nature. Also, they were very excited to grow the Chili’s for the community gardeners as a form of appreciation.
