Every year, our children and teachers will work together to create art pieces for our annual Art Exhibition. This year, we organised an Art Exhibition and Charity Drive where all proceeds go to the Singapore Red Cross Society. This year’s theme is “A Kaleidoscope of Colours” where we used an array of colours to create our art pieces. Our art pieces include canvas, 2D and 3D crafts, and a tote bag. We invited families and friends to our Art Exhibition and we all had fun during the auction. Our friends from the Singapore Red Cross Society came down to share with us where the proceeds will go as well. The class canvases and tote bags done by teachers were put up for auction and we had lots of fun during the auction. Our teachers also baked cookies and crochet coasters for sale. Parents brought in pre-loved items for our Thrift Corner.
Through this event, children learnt about empathy towards others in need and how we can help them. The children had fun creating the art pieces and were proud of their work. They brought their parents around to view the Art Exhibition and purchased the art pieces that they liked.
A big thank you to everyone who contributed in one way or another to Columbia Preschool’s Art Exhibition and Charity Auction. With your kind donations and generosity, we are pleased to announce that we managed to raise over $6,500 through our event! 👏🏻 All proceeds go to the Singapore Red Cross Society to help other families in need ❤
