Our parents and grandparents are voices of wisdom drawn from their past experiences and they are doors to our future. They guide us in our new discoveries so that we always move forward. We want our children to realise this love and guidance that they always receive from their parents and grandparents.
As part of the Start Small Dream Big project, we want to continue to raise children’s awareness about showing appreciation to the people around them. The Ambassadors of Care came together and planned a special day to celebrate our parents/ grandparents. The children and teachers prepared photo booth, art & craft stations, planned a “Dress-me-Up!” competition, small performance and parents appreciation moment.
Our ambassadors learnt importance of spending quality time with parents/ grandparents and how their little actions can show appreciation to their parents/ grandparents
Parents were touched by their children’s songs and dance. They also laughed a lot during the Dressed-up competition where they must work with their children to come up with ideas and get into action. The families had fun also when they came together to place games prepared.
The evening ended with parents sitting with children penning notes of love and encouragement. They also took a family photo which was sent to them as a token later.
