Due to the pandemic, the children were not able to show care and graciousness by interacting verbally with the community. However, that did not deter them from thinking of other ways to give back and show care to the community.
The children have been occupied with multiple activities throughout their project. They brainstormed on the different ways that can show care to the community. The children came out with the idea of creating hand sanitisers and poster. Thus, as part of the closure for the project, the children created a poster and care pack for the community.
Children were given the opportunity to create sanitisers by using alcohol rub, aloe vera and essential oils. The teacher then helped them to package the sanitisers into small bottles while they created posters to remind the community to take care of themselves.
The children reflected upon the project completion and felt happy that they managed to contribute back to the community. They felt a sense of accomplishment when they saw the final product that they made.
