We came together to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival (Mooncake Festival) with the residents of Vanguard Senior Care (Senja). Vanguard’s Day Care offers essential support and assistance with daily activities for seniors living with dementia.
The purpose of this visit is to strengthen intergenerational bonds within our vibrant community by fostering meaningful interactions between children and elderly residents. The children engaged the seniors by singing and creating lanterns using upcycled bottles. They decorated the plastic bottles with drawings or collages.
Additionally, the children had the opportunity to learn about and appreciate the rich cultural traditions of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
