In this project, K1 and K2 children shared and discussed about:

c) how to show Kindness and Respect towards the Elderly.
Children are also aware that the Elderly may have difficulties walking and eating and their hearing may not be as good as before and we must be patient towards them, care and love them.
Healthy eating and Exercises are important for the Elderly. Children gave suggestions on how they would go for walk with their Grandparents. They also discussed on healthy food that the Elderly can eat to boost their health.
Children shared ways they treated their Grandparents at home. Some children mentioned that they helped their Grandparents to carry shopping bags, massage them and helped to fold clothes etc. When asked why they wanted to help their Grandparents, children said that their Grandparents are old, weaker and their movements have slowed down.
Children also made cards to show appreciation towards their Grandparents. This project enhance children’s understanding of the difficulties faced by the Elderly and taught them to love, respect and be kind towards the Elderly.
