As the saying goes, “Much like charity begins at home. Sanitation and hygiene start with YOU and ME”. Cleanliness is a habit of keeping oneself clean and neat.
To commence this year’s SSDB project, the N2, K1 and K2 children discussed about the importance of healthy lifestyle and how to take care of themselves, family and friends.
Here are the good habits that the children practise to stay healthy:
-
Eat healthy foods such as fruits and vegetables
-
Wash your hands frequently with soap
-
Exercise regularly and be active
-
Drink at least 8 glasses of water daily
-
Brush your teeth twice a day
-
Keep your body clean
-
Get plenty of rest
The children demonstrated the proper way of brushing teeth.
They also learnt how to wash their hands properly by following the Step-by-step guide.
Step 1: Wet your hands.
Step 2: Apply some soap.
Step 3: Scrub all over.
Step 4: Rinse your hands.
Step 5: Dry your hands.

Maintaining cleanliness is the essential part of our healthy living. It is everyone’s responsibility to keep themselves and their surroundings clean and hygienic.
As a follow-up activity, the children showcased their creativity through fun and interesting craftworks.
They created their colourful fruit baskets, witty fruit paper puppets and yummy healthy plates.
Let’s always remember to keep ourselves healthy and safe. Cleanliness starts with YOU and ME!
