The Biodiversity Week for schools, a community in nature (CIN) initiative, provided us with a series of exciting activities that celebrate Singapore’s natural heritage and our flora and fauna.
We got to learn about the many nature parks in Singapore.
In addition, we learnt about the animals such as the Straw-headed Bulbul and Banded Bull Frog at Dairy Farm Nature Park and the distinct calls that they produce.
We also participated in Green Wave. It is an ongoing global biodiversity education project that empowers us, children to make a difference. As part of the campaign, we will plant locally important trees or scrubs in our school compound.
Together with our teachers and friends, we reported our class’ Rose Myrtle! #SSDB2022
