As this year’s SSDB focuses on the theme, “ Our Family, Our Community”, N, K1 and K2 of Little Footprints Preschool @Bedok Reservoir were introduced to two of the most important community helpers in our society: the HDB and park cleaners. Children were so excited as they learnt about the nature of their work and also their importance in our society.As part of the project, children were brought to the nearby reservoir to see amd explore the workplace of our beloved park cleaners.From there they learnt that doing their job is not an easy task.They saw how big are the areas that they need to clean and realize that each and everyone of us plays a big part in keeping our parks clean.They also had an encounter with the HDB cleaners and interviewed them about their work.As a culminating activity, children had a small clean drive in our block.They had experienced on how to do their job. After doing this project, children had a better understanding on how they can help to have a better environment so that they will have a better future.
