Indian Art Heritage: Rangoli
To wrap up the project, the children learn about the Indian art heritage – Rangoli. It is created on the floor using coloured rice or sand and traditionally done during Deepavali as a symbol of strength, generosity and good luck. Using coloured paper and a drawing of the Rangoli motif, the children cut the papers into tiny strips and pasted them with glue. The children were proud with their artwork.
In a nutshell, the children learned a lot about our local food and art heritage. They appreciate the fabric of our colourful heritage through meaningful activities throughout the project.
