On 15 May, parents were invited to the centre for the Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) Launch Party. A total of 13 parents and 21 children joined us for the launch party!
We started off with introductions carried out by both the teachers and children. Children did a sharing on their drawings on activities that they wished to carry out with the elderly.
Both parents and children worked together to create paper fans as a gift for the elderly!
With the help from parents, we also made flower bouquets to be gifted to the elderly.
Next, we made shakers using recycled bottles donated by parents. Both parents and children completed an obstacle course by hopping on the mats as well as jumping over the hurdles, then filled the bottles with rice in order to make shakers for the elderly.
Children also performed a Chinese ribbon dance to kickstart SSDB!
Lastly, we were grateful to have parents and children to be part of our SSDB project and we looked forward to be involved in different programs and activities, with the hope to give back to the society.
