Prior to the visit from SembEnviro, our school has received a lot of plastic recyclables from the parents. The children were excited to see the mountains of plastic bottles that were gathered together from the teachers and their families.
From the visit, the children learned about the different kinds of plastics that can be recycled and found out that there were numbers on the bottles such as number 3.
With the Special Project lessons, children could name the different kinds of plastics that can be recycled and how important it was to ensure that the plastics are clean and dry.
The children were excited to learn more about plastic recycling and were eager to answer the questions posted by the lady from SembEnviro.
The children made crafts from recyclable plastics and calm down bottles. The K1 children went on to make a book about recycling with their parents.
The teachers were excited to show the recycling corner made up of the recyclables, the recycling books by children and parents and the calm down bottles.
