We discovered the role of a dengue inspection officer through a video during lesson. We learned about their duties, for instance, conduct fogging, oiling and misting, check common breeding grounds and conduct house to house inspection.
We wanted to be like them too, stopping Dengue.
So, after coming up with our checklist on the potential breeding grounds yesterday, we are out in our neighborhood to search for the potential breeding grounds.
We role played as a dengue inspection officer to conduct checks on our neighborhood on the common and potential breeding grounds of mosquito.
We found a number of breeding grounds such as drinking cup, plastic bag, folded dried leave, hardened soil and drains.
Lastly, we also did our parts by picking up rubbish around to keep potential breeding grounds away!
