“Making a Big Difference with Great Minds.”
The children, parent volunteers and teachers creatively turned recyclable materials into somethings new during the learning journey.
The children prepared gifts for their parents, teachers and people in the community by using recyclable materials that they found in school and at home during Mother’s and Father’s Day, Racial Harmony Day, National Day and Deepavali Celebration.
This learning experience created awareness for everyone to make use of the materials that can be re-used and re-purposed.
Not only that they were able to create something new, it also gave way for them to appreciate what they already have in school and at home.
This is the first year that our centre joined this project and we are looking forward to more years of sustaining awareness and care for the environment.
As the saying goes, “No one can do everything, but everyone can do something.”, we also believed that “A small step goes a long way. Together, we can make a difference.”
